I'm looking to links on my new directory. I need to populate the directory with some links to start it off. Can I just add sites as I please or do I need permission to post the links on my directory?

You do not need permission to link to someone elses HTML web pages with a clickable link, or clickable image.
[Sidenote: Framing their content, or hotlinking to their images is not acceptable]
