Does directory submission helps in getting web site indexed instantly in google?

The submission doesn't, but as soon as you are listed there, Google can then find your site through that link.

It isn't instant.

Because of directory submission, you can easily get more backlinks. When your backlinks are more search engines will automatically find & list your site.
