    Hello,

I have custom built three wonderful link directories and three great article directories (which are automatically accepting thousands of article submission from an article site). All with different domain names and hosted on different servers.

I want to know the best way to promote them.

I tried submitting to thousands of link directories, but end up getting blacklisted by Google!

Any suggestion from the gurus here?

    Regards,

    Daniel
P/S. I don't want to post the url's for fear they will be removed.

Well, First off, only submit your home page and let the crawlers get the rest. Use software like webceo (Free Version) or TrafficSeeker (Free Version) to build link popularity using directories, classifieds and such. Make sure that when using this method to build link popularity that you "DO NOT" submit to google or any major search engine. You can submit weekly to the directories, classifieds and FFA networks but that is all.

    Hope this helps,
    Chris

spindiggy and drquek, I generally don't advocate submitting your site using any software "tool". Submitting by hand to the top web directories is fine--but submitting weekly to directories, classified, and FFA sites is not recommended at all. Frankly, I just don't recommend submitting to classifieds or FFA sites at all.

Concentrate on finding places to get links that are "on-topic" and places where you can get one-way links to your site.

Thanks bhartzer and spindiggy for your suggestions.

What bhartzer is saying is to submit only to the top web directories. Then submit to specific theme site and (possibly?) high PR blogs where you gain 1 way back link to boost my PR.

What the rest of you think?
