I manage a site, www.speech-writers.com , which is genuinely unique. We sell 350 sets of generic speeches and poems for weddings, funerals, retirements, aniversaries etc. People find the site while looking for information and some buy. They dont actually go out to buy because they dont know from the outset that it is possible to buy a generic set of speeches inline. I have managed to get multiple listings in many other directories. It is dangerous to try the same in Yahoo.

Yes, if the content is there they will give you more. There is some confusion over the number two. They want to deal with two entries per url, per submission, not two entries per domain. There is no limit on entries per domain.

Hi Janet,

I want to confirm that I understand your comments since it's important information to me and contrary to what I've heard from others previously.

On the Yahoo Directory (vs. Inktomi), a single domain can have more than two category listings. The limitation is two category listings per URL. Thus, a single domain could have many sets of two category listings per each unuque URL.

If that is correct, is there a maximum number of URL listings per domain? Also, it would make sense that the URL's included content unique enough to justify a separate category listing.

Thanks in advance for any clarification.

Best,
Kirk out.

It is possible to get listed in more than 2 categories. However, I've found it's usually best not to try. Only the truly favored sites usually bust through the 2 category rule (you know the type: they're the "cool" sites in each categories - denoted by sunglasses - and thus appear at the top of their respective categories, often have their own category, and have listings well above and beyond 2 per url per submission).

Kirk, there are plenty with more, it is not that unique. There is also no offical limit on how many listings you can have.
