Hello everyone,
I first want to state that I found this website by luck and am happy I did. There is lots of great info here. Looking forward to checking back here often.
I noticed a few people ask the same question and no one has replied to them. I also have the same question, which is...why is knowing ALL the different IP's of google useful info???
As, you can tell from my question, yes I new to this kind of and would like to learn more. So if someone could please take the time to explain, why its important or useful to know ALL the IPs of google...please.
Thanks,
M.Williams

Cool list, G1smd Just wondering if there is anyway to find the locations of these data centers?
I tried dnsstuff.com but it didnt seem to return much. Thanks alot. Also I did a reverse lookup and found some of the names changed from the gfe-?? format to mc-in-f104.google.com, or am I looking at the wrong things
Thanks

Hello,
I understand that most people who are reading this thread know alot about search engines and etc, so why is it when someone who is trying to learn about this and asks a question, which might be a newbie question, still no one is willing to help out.
Please...can some one just take a few sec and explain why it might be important to know all the Data IP Address?
Thanks in advance for, hopfully the help.

Thanks again

Yeah, the xx-in-f104 stuff is fairly new to me too.
I am not sure how long that has been around, or quite what it all means.

Looks like the following IPs are no longer active sometime in the last few months:
66.102.7.*
66.249.85.*
209.85.155.*
216.239.37.*
216.239.39.*
216.239.53.*
216.239.57.*
216.239.63.*
There are also a whole load of other new IP addresses that have come online this year.
Continued in a new Google Datacentres thread in 2008.
