My site [url is in profile] as of today is not listed in Google.
I did try to register it. It's been over a month so I don't believe it's because it was too soon for Google to index it. Suspect it was because I had links on my homepage to what the SE considers to be link farms. Redid the site with the suspicious links removed and than added to my misc.html page for reciprocal links.
Do you think it has a significantly better chance of being indexed. BTW I submitted again today 12/10/05
Thanks for your helpful replies.

Have you got incoming links from other sites?
You can submit as much as you like, but if you have no incoming links from other sites, then your site has no reputation and is unlistable as far as Google goes.
The URL you specified does not lead to a website; in any case URLs are only allowed in profiles in this forum (not in posts).

Thanks for your reply. Do you mean do I have people linking to me. Yes I do. At least that's what Yahoo, MSN claims as tested on the link popularity checker at www.instantposition.com

There is a spelling error in your link. Your site is listed in Google now and is cached.

Dear Jimby:
Are you certain my site is cached in Google. Checked it out and didn't see the listing. Typed in [link]
Wishing you well personally, professionally. Happy Holidays

I don't see it today but I did when I checked last night - so it is in some of the datacenters anyway - that should mean you will eventually be in all the others. Depending on which datacenter you are accessing at the time you may or may not see it when you check.

Sorry for not replying until now. Wanted to give a fair trial in trying to find my link in Google. But after several months of never finding my site in Google I wonder how you're seeing it. Why is it when I use the exact same spelling it's listed in other SEs and not Google? If it's the spelling than how come it's listed in other SEs with the exact same spelling?
Please explain this to me.

That is interesting but has to be super frustrating for you.
A google search for "disabilities.freewebpage.org" shows quite a few sites with your URL in their content and most of them look like good sites.
I am no sort of expert in this area but it almost has to be that google has stuffed you into some sort of 'we aren't gonna index this site' category.
It may be something as simple as the huge number of times the word 'disabilities' is on your home page so some sort of filter decided you were a spammer.
I notice your site shows up when using http://www.domain and http://domain but again, not enough knowledge to figure out if that is a problem or not.
One of the experts on the site should be able to give you some good ideas about what is broken and how to mend it.
