For the past six weeks our primary URL shows up in
only about half of the Google servers for one of our main
key words. I watch the Google dance page and check out the
sixty or so servers and they do not seem to have changed
much in six weeks as to our placement. Out site has been
re-cached by Google several times during this period. Any
idea of what's going on? Is the shuffle taking longer than
usual due to increased pages ?
    Thanks for any input.

There are definitely some changes going on. If you use Tony Hill's tool you'll be able to see the changes that are happening from the normal results to the "Big Daddy" data center results.

    Apparently, if you search for:
    [sf giants] (with the brackets)
you'll be able to see which data center is serving up the new soon-to-be results that we'll see in the normal SERPs that will be available to the public (the big daddy data center). The results that show giants.mlb.com is going to be the new set of results that the public will see shortly.

So, yes, I believe that we're kind of seeing something that resembles a good old fashioned Google Dance.
