We have recently started to see a new Google
URL 72.14.207.104 and wonder if this is part
of Big Daddy ? The serach results for our key
words are decidedly different from the URL we
usually see here in the midwest 64.233.179.104.
We can not find the 72.14 URL listed on any of the
SE lists and wonder if anyone has a clue about this.
It appears the page rank shuffle is still underway
with changes every couple of days.
Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

    Hi Gil,

I seem to be having the same questions ....

My site on 207.104 ranks on page 2 with approx 3.5 million competing pages.
But my site on 179.104 ranks on page 1 with more then double the competing pages at 10.5 million ???

I also see the pr jumping ... on 207.107 its at pr4 and then 179.104 its on pr5 ?

Im uk based and it seems as though at set times of the day the data centers are switiched ?
For example: 9am-7pm i see 207.104 and then after 7pm it switches to 179.104 ???

    Any comments on this ?

    Hello Darrens and Group;
Yes, we are seeing the same pattern. Google seems to
be using 72.14.207.one04 in the morning (N.Y.-EST) and then
switches to 54.233.179.one04 in the PM. I haven't plotted
exact times but there seems to be a definate pattern. I
suspect that they are attemting to 'spread the wealth' since there are so many URL's in their data base. I just
hope they go back to the consistent somewhat predictable rsults we had before this shuffle. The above URL's are what we see here in the USA Midwest (Detroit area). They are undoubtably different in other regions.

As well as rolling out everywhere over the last couple of months and for a few weeks yet, BigDaddy results can be found specifically at:

    66.249.93.104
    64.233.179.104
    216.239.51.104

The Google search you have found is a new one to me - Google English.

Anybody else come accross this before?

so what should we expect once this update has finished ?
results from 207.104 or results from 179.104 ???

The 179.104 has a lot bigger index of site (10.5 million) so i would guess that 207.104 is the one updating ???

    what do you guys think?
