Having real trouble with google trying to get at least some PR at the moment it is PR0 it has been like this for 2 years!!!!

We use an put of the box shopping cart XCART we also have a mod re_write modification to try and help. our site is ranked high in keywords like "inkjet cartridges" on MSN and Yahoo By the way the site is www.inkjetcartridgesuk.com

I recently dropped a line to google and asked what is the problem with my site I also asked them why all my pages where in the supplemental results of which l got the answer below.

Hi Garry,

Thank you for your note. Unfortunately, we are unable to send personal
responses to all of the requests we receive to review individual website
content. Websites can fall out of our index for many reasons, including
penalization.

Certain actions such as buying or selling links to increase a site's
PageRank value or cloaking - writing text in such a way that it can be
seen by search engines but not by users - can result in penalization.
Please review our quality guidelines at
[link] for more information. If
you identify problems with your website and make the changes necessary to
comply with these guidelines, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are sorry that we cannot provide individual assistance at this time.

Regards,
The Google Team

So can someone tell me why my site is being "penalized" so l can put it right we use no kind of tactics any help would be great

Thank you

Garry

I checked and you have PR 3 smile

Do you have a half hidden DIV tag or something? can see 'ES' which I'm guessing is the end of a word by your title? is this your <h1> tag?

Also your logo image thing has too many keywords in it

Oh dear - a site:www.inkjetcartridgesuk.com search in Google returns over 8000 pages marked as supplemental results.

That's a very bad sign - could be a duplicate contetn penalty.

Does your site share content with the site in your profile?

site:inkjetcartridgesuk.com -inurl:www - over 1000 results.

site:www.inkjetcartridgesuk.com - over 8000 results.

You don't have the 301 redirect from non-www over to www set up do you?

Hmm, someone can't sell "stationery" correctly either. smile
