Google has dropped all of my pages but the homepage. This page appears in their search results as both http and https. I think this could be my problem. Google told me that they cannot delete the https page for me because then the http version would possibly be dropped too for up to 6 months.
So how do I get rid of that https version in the search results? I have already set up a separate robots.txt for https pages but so far it has not helped. Wouldn't Google have to return and try to index that https page for it to see the robots.txt file that disallows indexing of the secure pages? So far they have not tried to reindex that page and who knows if they ever will.
Thanks.

something you should look into..
Go thru your site and get to a secure https page. While viewing your secure page, click on a home page link on that page. Once on home page, look at url string in browser. Is it still secure? Example: [link]
This is a server issue on your end and you will need to have your tech person fix it. Google is visiting the page as http and https (two separate pages). Besides having secure pages indexed, this will also be viewed as duplicate pages and possibly cause a ranking penalty

I tried exactly what you said and when I click the homepage link from the secure page I am brought to the http version of my homepage.
