We published a new website for a client on Monday.
Almost immediately Google indexed the homepage but then the client rang up and changed the domain name for the website.
We immediately set up the new domain and used a 301 on the old domain.
It looks as though only one page was indexed before the 301 was in place but does the forum think there will be any problems from this change.
We explained to the client that it was not a good thing to do but they were adamant. Has anyone else had to do this and what was the result??
Thanks

You'll be fine - Google will eventually (probably with their next update) get it sorted at their end.
Make sure the client knows that the "old" page which got indexed will be around for a bit (say a month or two) - not much you or anyone can do about that - let it run it's course and get back to making unique content on the NEW domain.
