OK, so Google just recently released "Trends" - their way to allow us all to see the "popularity" of Google-performed search queries over time.

Here's one I did this morning - still undecided on the overall value to this for performing keyword research.

Might be useful in tracking phrases to target next - up & comers, if you will. You can see in the search I performed that there's been an increase in interest (or at least in actual searches performed through Google) on this topic between 2004 & 2005. I know the spike correspond to just before the NFL season started each time, too - so I conclude that overall interest in this data is rising.

Luckily for us, we put this into place last season, so we're well placed for the coming season. smile

...but they don't share actual search VOLUMES - no numbers, just trends - usefulness is trending downwards in my mind right now... sad

    Thoughts?

    Duane
