Pretty new to SEO, but I cant figure out where Google is pulling my title from... i.e My title tag is Bakersfield Real Estate, but my Google title is John Sith- Coldwell Banker

I am sure that if I can change my title to my keywords,it will help my SEO...

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Jim - please update your profile with your URL so we can take a look-see to offer some advice. smile

Does the site use frames? Is it all javascript of flash?

Did you recently change things on the site - and maybe we're just not seeing the newest updates reflected by Google yet (there's a delay, often of weeks, when you make changes to when you see those changes in results Google displays).

You need a title tag in the head of the document.

Look at the source code of a few other sites and look for the <HEAD> and </HEAD> tags - there should be a title tag in between these two.

Looks like you now have this sorted - I'm seeing Seattle real Estate as the shown title in the browser.

Google will take a while (maybe a month or more) to make the update to what they are showing, if they're still showing the old data.

Jump back in there, though, and add a description and keywords for each page of the site.

Remember, each page needs dedicated, individual meta tags.

...and I'm going to suggest you guys look for a redesign as well - the site makes me scroll to the right now and my resolution is greater than 800x600 already. sad

...and try to cut down on the number of images used:

    header
    navigation
    all over the main page

These are slowing the loading of this page enough that I'd personally go back and look for another site rather than waiting (but I'm impatient).

So, first step - get your metas edited properly for each page. smile
