Using either Firefox or Internet Explorer with their respective Google toolbars, I get "No Pagerank information available" for ALL websites.

I have scoured the net looking for the fix. I could go over all the things I have tried, but the short list is what worked, but it's not the solution I was looking for:

Based on a post I read on the net, I went into Google's toolbar options, selected the "search tab" and changed the "Use Google Site" to the "www.google.co.uk". FWIW, I could select other Google search sites and get the same results: Pagerank works. This is true for either or both Firefox and Internet Explorer.

So what's the problem? Why can't I use the default www.google.com?

Don't know what your problem is, but don't worry about it.

Page Rank is of very little importance anymore.

Do not sweat PR values. Those being shown in the toolbars are actually about 3 - 4 months old - meaning Google is not using the data it's showing you in calculating who ranks where, and why, today.

Can you browse www.google.com? If you can't and you are using windows then check your host file. Remove www.google.com entry from that file.

This is not so serious a problem. Page Rank is one of the tools to measure one's position but not the only yardstick. Moreover, it does not pose any threat in ur way of functioning.
Yes, if u are not getting www.google.com inspite of ur using the windows, that's required to be probed. Pls get checked all ur base files and compatibility thereon.
