    Hi,
    I am submitting my website only to the directories.i am not interested to do reciprocal linking.will the link back from the directories alone will help in good ranking in google.

    Whether or not the link back from a directory counts depends on the directory. The directory itself needs links (it needs to be fairly popular) and you have to consider where your link will be placed. If your link will show up on a page that's buried in the directory and on a page whose URLs aren't crawlable by the search engines then it might not count that much.
