Hi everybody,
I discovered a problem on my site and I hope you can help me. I am owner of a games news site, originally created with an german domain ending (www.domain.de) but the content was more Austrian related, so I bought the domain-enduing at as well (www.domain.at).
The content is idnetic, but the URL-extension is different. Therefore I experience differen Page Rank for the de and the at Site, eve though the content is the same.
Now i wanted to ask, if there is a way to tell the googlebot, that both sites:
www.domain.de (Page Rank 4) AND
www.domain.at (Page Rank 3)
are the same and that page rank should be provided to both of them - and thus rceive a higher Page Rank.
Is there a possibility to do so?
reagards, Peter

You shouldn't use same content on both sites. Redirect your one domain to another. Use 301 redirection to do so. Search this forum for 301 redirection help.

Hi Dinkar, thank you for your quick response...
You can get ounished by Google for dublicated content, right? Is it that's why I should use the 301? (By the way: That's a good point and I will reaklise that one)
Now I wonder, if it also has influences on Page Rang. For example: If I use the domain:
www.domain.at
which I will use - what about the Page Rank if another sites links to www.domain.de? Will it contribute to the at domain? For my understanding it won't - but I am new in the SE topic, so I would be glad to learn something on that field.
Thank's again for your help!

You are right. It won't contribute to the at domain. You have to get other sites linked to your at domain to boost PR of at domain.
