    Hi All,

    I've read that site-wide backlinks o not help pagerank. Is that correct ?

    Is there a penalty ? if so which one is penalized the one giving or receiving the backlinks ?

    One last questions so one link from a site is better than havig tons that are site wide ?

    All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Yes, a site-wide link is blatently either a paid advert or a link to another part of the same "network", and as such it is down-rated. A lot.

    Not so much a penalty, but more likely that they are just "ignored" and don't count towards anything.
