Earlier today, whilst carrying out some research for a client, I typed "temporary jobs" in to Google and was presented with a new SERP style with a drop down box at the top of the page for industry sector and geographical location.

This then linked through to an Ajax application linking Google Maps, Local and jobs provided by or (or spidered from) a couple of UK recruitment companies.

I didn't take down the URL and have forgotten it - anybody else seen this?

Know where it can be found?

If you can find it again, I REALLY need a URL to get into it further.

My client is a global recruitment comapany - we REALLY need to know what's going on here.

Aha! genius, I cleared my cache of everything, and it's back smile got the URL, same datacentre as usual but the URL search query string thing is slightly different, it says Google+Search&meta= instead of Search&meta= at the end.

anyway here's the link - link

Since it only appeared when I deleted my cache, I'm presuming you can only view it once as Google will be using this as a test to see if people using it, or am I looking into this too far!? lol

It's part of Base - It's easier to bring up by using geographic targeting in the search - jobs in London - Looks like it will be rolled out as part of local.google.

    [link]

Not forgetting of course that there is a new .jobs TLD being rolled out. Google must be looking into incorporating these new sites into their index somehow. Originally the .jobs was only to be used by companies for their own vacancies so that fruitwholesalers.com would advertise their jobs on the new domain fruitwholesalers.jobs but now it has been rolled out so that recruitment companies can use the domain.

It looks like we're going to have to get a feed to Google Base from our central database or make sure that each vacancy has localised details.

It's going to mean big big changes to the way we currently work!

wow, it does sound like it is going to be a big job, and yep, all the jobs that are currently on google base are there lol, time to get busy
