Hi,
I observed a site which is having PR 4, indexed in all the major search engines and having good back links. But, recently in Google, the total pages gone into supplemental results. It is a site launched in 2004. From the same server, 10 more sites are launched. But they all are in general index. What is reason behind placing links into "Supplemental". If anyone of you are having any answers, reply me.
Thanks in Advance..

Do these site's have links between each other?

Are the URLs canonical?
Are there multiple URLs?
Do you have different title and metas for each page?
Are you using JavaScript redirect?
Is there any hidden text?
Does each page have at leaset 85% unique content?
Have you bought inbound links?

Hi Logan,
No, the sites are not linked to each other. They are independent.
Hi Hampstead, these are points for your questions. please check them and suggest me.
1. Redirected non www version to www version.
2. No multiple URL's.
3. Yes, the titles and description are unique.
4. No Java script redirections.
5. No hidden text in any page.
6. No, content similarity is about 40%.
7. No, I did normal link building for the site.
Thanks both of you for your responses.

Item 6 could well be your problem.
It was suggested by Matt Cutts (Google) that 85% is the desired minimum unique content.

Similarity 40% would make for 60% not duplicate.
