Hey Art - welcome back! smile

Might want to drop that e-mail address you just put in, too - we don't allow self-promotion in the forums. wink Plus it'll get scraped by spiders and spammed if you leave it up in here.

First ting I'll recommend is to update your profile with your URL - that's where it should be. wink No biggie, but for any future posts you might make, it'll keep the URL handy for users to see when helping answer questions. smile

Next up - be very careful when asking for help opening like this. You will get lots of folks contacting you, though they might not actually know what they're doing, even though they say they do.

I went to the website and noted a PR of 4 for the site. I also noticed the right-click function of my mouse doesn't work on the main page - worke don other pages, but not the main page - not sure why it's being blocked, but IMO, you shouldn't do this.

I'd suggest your very first step - and you can do this yourself - is some keyword research. Use a tool like Keyword Discovery and run each of your products through it to see how many searches are performed on that phrase each year. This will give you an idea of where to start, what phrases to target.

In the end, no matter who you decide to use for this project, make sure to ask for references and speak to actual people at those websites to ask them about their experiences and successes with the person who approached you.

It's not just a matter of money when you hire an SEO - most good ones charge a lot. Most poor ones do too - if anyone says they're using software to optimize your site, or they will "submit to the search engines like Google and Yahoo for you" they should be avoided.

Software is fine for link analysis and keyword research, but software doesn't optimize a website - humans with experience do.

Hope this helps.

Yes, we are not here to promote individual SEO firms, but rather - to help you gain knowledge that will help you in you hiring decisions. What tactics to look out for that could hurt you? are there parts you could handle yourself? what should YOU do, prepare, know?

If you think that is not much help, then spend some time and read around...

Take Care.

Oh - I just had a look at your site smile

There is SO MUCH that you could do to improve this yourself!

A good SEO for you would suggest improvements for content and help you to communicate your product to your market.

It's not hard... concentrate on providing more information on your product pages - connect with the mind of the market for each individual type and category of product. Use the product page text and elements to TALK about the product.

Be very very careful of your links... get rid of all that are not relevant and then seek out quality directories that promote your product (wholesale, import/export etc.)

I have successfully promoted a similar product to a wide international market with ONE PAGE for their product and by use of precise content and linking into where their buyers go.

Instead of worrying about search engines - wouldn't it be more profitable concentrating on letting people know HOW TO BUY?

I don't believe you need an "SEO" but rather an Internet Marketing Consultant would seem to suit better.
Hope that helps. After all, what is the point if you increase position and ranking and make no new sales of significance?

Look at aesthetics (usability), navigation & call to action!
Simplify!

Hi, SportsGuy & Excel

Tks for your replies & help. I have gotten much knowledge from this forum before that's why I come here again after several years.

Maybe we shall hire a good English speaker to introduce our produce on the webpages instead of hiring a SEO?

It is possible that simple logic will win the day...Look for a good Internet Marketing consultant that is going to be strong with you about how you are coming across. Someone that can project manage between design aspects, site architecture, etc etc with purpose, someone that can link you more appropriately to the target markets and isn't afraid to let you know what needs doing.

If you contact people and they are not telling you need to work in more than one aspect, move on...
