    Despite having <meta name="robots" content="noodp" />, Google is still using the ODP description for our site (uri in profile). I've had the tag up for a year at least. Is there anything I can do?

    You may try adding the following tag:

    Code: [copy]

    Source: control over page snippets

    FYI, I had inadvertently inserted a space before the robots:

    <meta name=" robots" content="noodp" />

    It didn't show in the html, but did when I pasted it into a text editor. I removed the space:

    <meta name="robots" content="noodp" />

    Google crawled and now we're noodp.
