I plan to host some streaming MP3 audio files and instead of paying to host a whole new site, I was thinking of just piggybacking off an existing website that I already have online. What I would like is to be able to register a new domain name and then point it to a section of my existing website.

For example, I would like for someone to be able to type in the following:

wwwnewdomaindotcom and point it to a section of my old site wwwoldsitedotcom/newsection.html

I thought about using URL Forwarding for this, but I don't know how Google would handle all this. Would doing it this way cause Google to penalize or put a black mark on either the new domain name or my old site.

If URL Forwarding is not a good way to do this, then what would be a better way to approach it to keep Google happy?

In the future, if the need arises and the MP3 section grows big enough, I might just break it out into a whole new hosting service, but for now it will be very small and I don't know if it will ever warrant a whole new hosting plan.

Here's the info I cut and paste about the URL forwarding... I'm not sure if anything in this is going to make Google choke and cause me trouble in the future with that new domain name or old site...

"Your domain will be hosted on our servers, and typing your domain in a web browser will pull up the URL you specify. You can use a standard URL such as http://www.domain.com/test.html, or an IP address in the following format: http://12.12.13.256. It will take less than 24 hours for your forwarding to propagate throughout the internet. You may change your forwarding destination at any time through the management control panel using the Edit Forward link.

NEW! Now you can specify meta-tags: titles, keywords and descriptions by using our new and improved Masked URL Forwarding service. When Masked URL Forwarding is enabled, your domain will be in the address bar of the browser window at all times. If your destination URL is not compatible with the frames that Masked Forwarding uses, you can change URL Forwarding type to URL Redirect. While you cannot specify keywords or meta-tags with URL Redirect, this option allows frames-free forwarding of your domain. Free URL Forwarding has no additional meta-tag options.

Please be aware that signing up for our URL Forwarding services WILL update your Nameservers."

Thanks for any input you have on this.
