Help, I am a desperate amateur webmaster - and after 4 years hard work - all this could be ruined!

A brief background - I have recently redesigned my website weddingparaphernalia - using jonicholson as my live test site, which was indexed and has a PR5 - this site has been up for years as jonicholson but I uploaded wp to test.

I then realised that google frowns upon multi domains pointing at one site and mirrored sites. So I downloaded jonicholson and deleted the files and on the advice of an article on pandia emailed google to say thats what i had done.

At midnight on Monday 12th March, all links to weddingparaphernalia became jonicholson - how did this happen and what do i do now - ive put a redirection onto the holding page as such (in my minimal knowledge) but weddingparaphernalia no longer seems to exist. We have re-emailed google asking them to change it back but nothing. It is only on google.

We have a page one for wedding favours but i am worried that as there is nothing on jonicholson now we will lose this ranking.

    Please help!
    Thanks
    Jo

Don't blame Google. It's your fault.

Don't email Google. First you need to decide which domain you want to keep in search engines and which you don't want. Then you need to do the necessary modifications to both domains.

No need to email Google unless they ban you. They will automatically index your site as per your instructions.

Thank you for the reply - however, how could I change the name?

The listing is in exactly the same place under wedding favours but now is jonicholson.co.uk not weddingparaphernalia - i am very confused!
