Hi
I'm still up and down in Google's results, like a lot of you are, but I noticed this lately and I wonder if anyone else has noticed anything like it?
When my site goes down some, this trailfire page goes up on the page. Since I can't post the url, about the best way I can explain it, is it is some sort of wiki, where users can comment on websites, create links, etc. What they have done, is a user, (I presume) copied my website name and description, so they are ranking higher a lot of the time, and I get dropped down again (maybe google is seeing as duplicate?). This is on page one of results for certain keywords. When my page comes up in the results, say from number 8 to number 5, then this trailfire page isn't found for a good many pages, if at all. At the time the trailfire page is up in the results, there are a lot of others that come up that don't show up when trailfire isn't ranking higher. I mean, the normal websites disappear, and others useless ones take their place (not trailfire pages though). Once the trailfire goes down in rank, the others do too, and the normal ones go back up in rank. Hope I'm making sense.
My site isn't new, it's been online at least 5 or 6 years now, and I have been hit by the Google dance, or whatever this is this time, like a lot of others have.
Anybody else see anything like this happening?
