I'm seeing a major difference between what AdWords reports show me for
clicks and what Analytics shows for Google CPC visits (approximately equivalent to "clicks"wink over a specific time period for one of my clients.

In this case, it's 1,985 clicks shown in AdWords but only 22 CPC visits shown in Analytics for the same time period.

I'm getting the CPC visits figure (labeled as "google[cpc]"wink from the
"CPC vs Organic Conversion" screen under "Search Engine Marketing" in
the "Marketing Optimization" section.

The AdWords campaign is only running in search and not in the content network.

What could explain this? I contacted Google and they gave me a list of possible explanations, none of which satisfactorily explain that large discrepancy.

Sorry, just figured out the problem. My client didn't use keyword tracking URLs when setting up their campaign (I didn't set up the campaign, just taking it over now).

So please disregard, problem solved.
