Hi you all
Have this issue at the moment that is driving me nuts!
I know in apache there is no problem by directing index.php or whatever to /
but I have found that the site I am just working on that 95 people have linked to the /default.aspx version and I can see it in the google webmaster tool.
Now, wouldnt that be considered dup content?
and of course since this is on a .Net platform there is no way I can do a 301 to the / since it will start going in loops.
Any clues?
Thanks
Bill

You can use 301 redirect. Tell your programmer; he will do it.

The thing here is that in .Net you are on a windows platform, and if you have the default set up in IIS to default.aspx if you do a 301 to / it will just start going in loops.
Its different as in Apache.
Has anyone experienced this problem before?

You can set the default page to something else (myhomepage.aspx) and redirect default.aspx to /
