I have a website that calls a file called Data.JS which populates a drop down menu. Does anyone know if Google spiders manange to follow these links to index the pages that are in the drop down menus?

If the links are hidden in that JS file, then no. if the JS file is a handler for the action of the drop down and the links reside physically on the page, then yes.
Basically, if you can right-click/view source and see the links in the page's source code, the spiders can find them and crawl them.
If the links are not visible in the code, then the spider won't see them.

If the links are not directly visible in the HTML code, then the spider won't see them.
