Hello Everyone its me again with a question for all of you. I have been listed on dmoz no for about 2 months (great stuff) I have checked the google directory which seems to the same list. However despite the fact that you can put us into the directory serch and it will find us but he catergores that it says im in i click on and we are not there. Can anyone shed some light on this. Also Google has started using the Dmoz descrition in out serch terms rather than our meta description. Hoping that this will not effect my rank or can anyone say if it will make it better. Thanks in advance for any help

Use this tag in the same place as your other metas if you don't want them to use your DMOZ description:
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOODP">
As for your first query, I don't believe Google have updated their ODP listings in over a year. But I didn't really understand your question too well, just the gist of it.

if you go into google directory and but in my website name it comes up as being in the directory. As you may or may not know if listed you get a catergorie listing at the bottom of you description. Such as Shopping/consmer elctoniscs/car audio. This page will lead to other listed in that catogriere. However when i click we are not there and i am starting to wonder as to why.

google directory is the open directory project, or ODP as stated in an above post.
it is dead, has not been updated in at least a year, don't worry about it, move on
