Thats exactly it... SURPRISE.
Two years ago I started a small online store where I was going to sell a specific type of jewelry. Well I quickly gave it up because I could not get any rankings and no visits however I never removed the website....
So I had 3 necklaces listed and this week 2 got sold and I thought that was very rare.... so I started to check the site stats again and I was surprised at how many visits I was getting in the past 3 months +/-. Then I realized a lot were coming from google so I went to google, typed my main keyword and there I was, #5 on the list.
I want to of course take advantage of this so I have to update the site after all its 2 years old and its a one page website.
So now my questions.
I want to set it up with oscommerce in a new host.. will this hurt?
If my website has no page rank, why is it #5 for that keyword when other sites have higher page rank?
Any other tips you can give me about this will be appreciated. Hopefully I can take advantage of this and get it all ready for Christmas.
Best Regards,
Tom

well congraduations
it depends of the competition of the keyword and how hard it is to be ranked on top for it

PageRank, as shown by the toolbar, is several months old. Google has their own internal figure which you can't see and which is already calculated.
Pagerank is only one of more than a hundred factors in the algorithm. Forget about PageRank, it is mostly irrelevant to everything else in the real world.
If you change the URLs for the pages of your site you will lose your positions for many months. Be aware that osCommerce has several Duplicate Content issues that you must fix before going live otherwise you will have a lot of problems.

Thanks for the info.
Currently I have a one page website index.php with all my content. So I should be ok ?
I will be adding this same content within the oscommerce website, I was just planning on seperating them by topic.
Do you know of a link that contains more information about duplicate content from oscommerce? And how to fix this?
Thanks in advanced,
Tom.

When you link to an index file don't include the index file filename in the link.
Google prefers to use the URL that ends with a trailing / on the end of it.
Using both formats is one type of Duplicate Content problem, but one that is easy to solve.
Set up a redirect so that index files, when requested, issue a 301 redirect to the shorter format.

...and you might want to leave the link only in your profile Tom to keep in good with the rules here.
