I just recently switched from a free subomain host over to a registered domain. I've redirected traffic over to the new site, submitted to search engines, have backlinks from PR 3+ sites, and am getting steady traffic to the new domain. Google has yet to spider or crawl my new domain after 10 days. I know you might be saying, "Have patience, it can take months." Well, the problem is my site's interface includes the Google search feature, and without my site being indexed, I am losing substantial amount of clicks and functionality. What's the deal!

I know there's not too much i can do, except wait or whine, but I've been waiting for awhile, and whining was my only other option... maybe I should just give Google a ring!

I usually see Google spidering a site within a week of adding a link to it from somewhere else, often only days.

The site might not appear in the SERPs for another day or two though. Anything longer than that indicates some sort of problem with the site.

    This syntax is completely wrong:

    Disallow: /http://www.example.com/links/admin
    Disallow: /http://www.example.com/contact.php

There is a very exact format that MUST be followed.
See http://www.robotstxt.org/wc/robots.html for the full details.
