What is the google PR default for sites now days. Before, when google finally assigned PR to a site, the default PR was PR4. Is it still the default or is PR0 the new default PR?

I am not aware there was ever a "default" value.

You get anything from none to ten on the Toolbar.

OK, what am I thinking. Yeah guess there never was a default value. What I should be asking is this:

When does PR value start to get attached to a site that has a few inbound links to it?

Google calculates PR for each URL every few days or so.

They export an already weeks-out-of-date value to the Google Toolbar every 3 to 6 months or so.

So how does one go about finding the current PR rating or is there no way to do that?

You can download and install Google Toolbar in your browser, the PageRank Option will show the PR for each page you open -if it's avalable- in a green bar and if you mouseover the bar it'll show you the number (e.g. 3/10)

The Toolbar PageRank is weeks or months out of date and only updated several times per year.

mo007, I have the google toolbar, but... (see g1smd's comment).

I would like a simple way of getting the PR ratings to be current with google things. Thought somehow there might be such a tool (software or online tool).

Only Google has that figure. It is not public.
