I created a microsite for our company that was doing extremely well on Google (we were ranked in the top 10 for over 100 relevant keywords and phrases). After about a month we dropped completely from the rankings for all of these words. A couple of weeks later we were back in the top 10 (we actually improved overall in our rankings), but then I discovered again today (which is a week later) that we are back out of the rankings. I know sometimes you have to be patient and wait until Google re-indexes your site, but this extreme fluctation seems highly unusual to me. Any ideas? Thank you.

How do you check to see what rank your site is in for certain keywords.

I just Google the keywords and keep an Excel of all the results. I do that about every other week and it will usually be very good for all of the keywords for about 2 weeks and then will be off the rankings for the next 2 weeks. I don't get why this cycle is occurring.
