There are two analytics codes that google offers 1) Legacy tracking code (urchin) and 2) new tracking code (ga.js), which one should i use and what are the differences between the two?

There are very minor differences between the two, which - I am told - will not effect most people.

for example



but the 'new' code allows for future changes, which may be more significant.

Best thing is to put the code in a server side include, so you can change it easily if you see a difference that matters.
