Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me here.
I have recently designed and submitted a website to Google and other search engines. There are about 60 pages in my website and after about a month of allowing the SE spiders to crawl my website - I have noticed that the spider has only crawled some (13) of my webpages - like random webpages.
Howcome the spiders haven't crawled ALL my web pages?? am I been impatient?
It just seems strange ... whereas with my other website I made (5 pages), the search engines have crawled and ranked them all.
Another concern:
Each of my webpages has text information (which is good for search engines) and I have meta-taged each page differently ... now I cannot understand why when I try do a search and find a specific page on my website (www.mywebsite.com/thespecificpage.htm) ... I always end up finding my INDEX page (quite a few search result pages later)... which isn't correctly keyworded for that specific search I did.
You would think search engines would pick up the page I meta-taged for that specific search and the page that has exact revelant information for that seach.
Why is this? Again am I been impatient because I know my website has been crawled at least 3 times!??!
I would really appreciate your help.
Thank you
Dale.

you dont need to submit to search engines they will find you themself and for that you need incoming links from other web sites, and its up to them of how many times they want to visit your site.To have your other pages be indexed too a sitemap would help.

Run your site through Xenu LinkSleuth and see if it finds any errors.

submit site map on google and yahoo. For google it is sitemap.xml and for yahoo it is urllist.txt. Internal linking will also help you, and of course back links plays a major role.

Thanks guys!
You see my home page and every other page has basically got links going to 95% of all my pages. So in a way, you could almost say that my HOME/INDEX page is a sitemap??
I will still create a Sitemap on my website though.
I have been working with INBOUND links which I hear is very important but also takes a bit of time.
