I have a site with big flash banner at the top to do SEO for. My question is if I keep that flash code at the top of each page will google consider it to be content duplicate (banner is the same on every page) even if the actual content is different on every page? Do you recommend moving banner code to the bottom of the page (code) using css instead of tabular layout or should I not bother (I hope )?
Thank You

Having a flash banner is like having a regular .jpg image. So google doesn't read anything in it.

Google doesn't read everything in a flash file? [link] To be honest, Google treats flash as an image and so won't or shouldn't hurt you for having it on every page

I meant it in the same context, just couldn't get the words right sorry if it sounded completely off, but I was basically trying to say the same thing as you did.

Thanks people.
have one more question here. Does it matter where on the page main content is placed? Usual design is that navigation is placed on the top or left side of the page. That makes contents physical position always after navigation. Lets say, I have huge drop down menu with hundreds of links for navigation placed on the top of every page. If I use tables for my layout this menu is obviously before main content. Would Google consider this to be what it is (menu at the top or - loads of code), or what it is not (duplicate content)?

Unless the page is huge, Google will read all of it, and it probably doesn't make much difference - there used to be a School of Thought that said put the content as near the top as possible, but I've not heard that argument much for a long time.
It may be worth doing on the basis that "every little thing helps" - but my impression is that it's a small point among many much bigger issues.
It is certainly worth getting rid of unnecessary stuff (code bloat), by writing 'clean' and effective code, using css where you can, etc.
Don't worry too much about navigation - unless it's excessively huge, Google is quite used to dealing with that
Do be sure that the page does contain useful, relevant and original information to get the best out of it; well written, focused copy is the best way forward.
