Hi to all,
I have been doing some seo activities for my site orcayachtcharters dot com for about two months. For certain keywords like "luxury yachts charters newport beach",I am getting a directory link or an article link on the first page of google search results. Why am I not getting my site instead? can somebody pease help?
Regards,
roy

Please don't post the same question twice; it wastes peoples' time.
Please don't post the URL in your post - put it in your profile.
Welcome!
Their site may have been around a lot longer than yours, and so the pages are likely to rank better for some keyword combinations.
As your site develops and matures and your SEO work starts to pay dividends, that may change. But it really is not unusual for a new-ish site.
BTW, your copyright notice would look better (and be more useful) if it said (c) 2001-8 - people do read it as a 'last update', and it offers better protection if it covers ALL the content, old and new
