Is it of any value if we receive a link from relevant page, but a page with 80 outbound links? Our link will be arround 50 in the html.
Thanks

Numbers of links really don't matter; it's the quality of the site, and the relevance of the link.

i think what he means is does a web page with 80 oubound links get classed as a link farm page, and in answer to that, its getting close, but no it shouldnt.

But I wouldn't say number of links doesn't matter. I think it does. Maybe not the whole number, but certainly the ratio of links to words..... How much content is on this site you're talking about?

A link from a relevant page is better than no link from a relevant page. A lot of links on a page does not make it a link farm, but still have a look and see if all the links on that page go to relevant sites of reasonable quality. As a user, do you consider that the webmaster is linking to sites based upon relevance and merit? If so, then a link there will help a little. If links are indiscriminate, then I would personally write the page off as a sign of paid links or random exchange of reciprocals. I'd think Google could also spot that!
The number of links on the page does impact how much benefit you'll get. That page's voting power has to be shared between all the links on it. With 80 links, the push it'll give your site will be pretty gentle!
