Do one way back links help or not?No follow or do not follow? Do they matter or not?

One way back links are good.

My understanding of this is whether to add a 'no-follow' tag on the link????

If that is the question then I think it depends on the link ... for example, if it is a paid ad on a website such as a directory etc, adding the 'no-follow' tag will ensure that it is not interpreted as a 'paid link'.

If it is a genuine, relevant link that benefits the visitor on the host site, then adding a 'no-follow' tag will negate any benefit to your site.
