    Hey,
I was sitting here doing some thinking about all of the social networking channels and new ways to drive traffic. I am not sure if I am on to anything or not but does anyone have any insight into how Google chooses whether or not to display videos in the serps?

I know it has to be an EXACT match but does it need a certain amount of Views or stars? i can't seem to find anything online.
    Thanks
    Drew

Many say youtube have great traffic to one's site, but i have no idea how to use it, in fact, promote your video in youtube just like to promote your another site.

it has nothing to do with how many views really just about the title, description of the video and the links.

animated3d is right, just tag and optimize your video text description as you would any webpage and you will be fine.

Thanks for the reply guys. So you are saying backlinks are also used to rank youtube videos like they are web sites?

its the same thing. Search engines cannot index the content of a video, so it has to have a description, tags, titles, etc just like anything else you want indexed and ranked.

are the videos hosted with the blog or are they on youtube? if they are hosted on the blog i would optimize the pages title and headings and etc... on the page for the video if its the main thing on that page if the vid on youtube just optimize it as it was said above.
