How would/does Google look at YouTube and or any videos posted on a individuals web site?

Say I have a site about cars and instead of posting articles with the newest info about the red XYZ car, I did a YouTube video and added it to my own site or I did any type of video and added it to my own site.

Would that page be handled the same as if there were text content there?

Would it be viewed as a blog/article then - or as a video? Is this not a good way to SEO a subject/page?

How does google view Vlogs ( in general ) good - bad or ugly ?

Let's assume I did all the meta and such correctly wink

it skips it, the video is in script tags so the se's see nothing, but...surround the video with optimized content just like you would any outher page with content you want indexed.

you can also make sure that if you or your client posted the video at google/youtube that they have a link to your video page in the description field of the video on google/youtube.
