I've had this before with IE.

Empty your cache through the internet options tab.

If you use the Firefox browser, there is an add in that not only allows you to view the source, but verifies it through W3C too.

IE is full of bugs and problems like this.

Visit mozilla.or and get the Mozilla or Firefox web browser. Download and install that instead of IE.

Firefox also has a very good source code viewer, syntax highlighting, etc. Once you switch to real browser you'll never want to use IE again. Opera lets you pick which program to use for viewing source code, which is nice. I'm not an Opera fan though.

Must have extensions for Firefox:
web developer toolbar
all in one mousegestures.
one of the tabbed browsing additions if you want to use tabbed browsing.

As others noted, this is a caching problem in IE, clear the cache, also set the cache size to be much smaller than it defaults to, say about 50 mB, it defaults to some absurdly ridiculous size, from when hard drives were 500 mB.
