I'm thinking about making a website for mine and my friends and possibly users future inventions/ideas/concepts.
My question is about how i can protect the inventions/ideas/concepts before patenting/copywriting. They are just concepts that i would like to share with the world whilst maintaining an element of ownership.
Is this possible or is it just a pipe dream?

Have you tried contacting a patent or trademark attorney? That's probably going to be your best bet in accomplishing what you are trying to do. They'd be able to give you a better idea on all the legal stuff you'd have to go through.
