Quick question. I have my domain nane registered at one place and pointing to where my pages are hosted which gives me a url such as
    "my name.host name.com/---.html"

If I transfer my domain to where is hosted will I be able to end up with my name.com/---.html url? Or what needs be done to accomplish this.
    Thanks,

Yeah, does sound a little confusing.
Ok I'll try again. I have a domain name mydomain.com registered at GoDaddy and I have my websites hosted at bizland.com. Domain name is pointed from GD to Bizland

If you type in mydomain.com it shows as myname.bizland.com/???.html What I'm trying to do is have it show as mydomain.com/???.html If I move the domain name to bizland where pages are hosred will I end up with "myname.com" in the browser. The mydomain.com in browser looks better when customers come to the shop to order. Hope that I explained it better.
    Thanks

Right now your domain name is set up to point to the subdomain of bizland. If you can talk to your host to point your domain directly to yourdomain.com you will have what you seek to do. If it is a free host, they may not allow you that option though.

Ok, thanks. Not a free host. Actually I might just transfer the domain there anyway. Sorta get it all under one roof. Thanks,

Make sure that you can only be accessed under one URL.

If you can be accessed under multiple URLs (multiple domain names, as well as www and non-www, in this case) then you are showing "duplicate content" to search engines - and that is bad.

Get all the alternative URLs redirected using a set of site-wide 301 redirects so that whatever domain and version you ask for, you will always end up at the canonical domain with www prefix.
