Can someone please tell me how to register a domain name similar to del.icio.us?
I tried to registered at a domain name registrar, but no period is allowed within the chosen name, how can I do it? help plz.

the actually domain name for del.icio.us is icio.us
the del. part is a subdomain

What is sub-domain? how do I create a sub domain?

You create a subdomain on your own site's server; depending on your server and your setup there are different ways to set up a subdomain. Talk to your host about setting up a subdomain.

del.is sub-domain ,actually,.icio .us .com .cn is domain name.
