I've been using RegisterFly, worked okay until recent happenings, and when they failed to register a new domain for me (even though they successfully charged me for it - 2 weeks ago) I ended up with Yahoo (I didn't know who else to trust) and now I find out Yahoo doesn't accept transfers TO them which makes things difficult...

I want ONE registrar for all my domains who asks a fair price ($35+ isn't fair) with a decent control panel and WHOIS PRIVACY ability, plus obviously ability to accept transfers, host multiple domains and such. Anyone have any suggestions? I've heard about godaddy and 1and1 - both sound good but lots of complaints too (horror stories really). Any suggestions? Thanks.

I don't know about 1and1 but I use godaddy. Horror stories can happened with anyone. So don't keep all your domains with one registrar. Enom is also good. Buy from their reseller or become a reseller for low price.

I understand some complaints are overstated, but godaddy's recent "familyalbum dot com" event worries me. I also don't like their policy about "no transfers if you updated whois within 60 days" and cancelling people's domains without notice for slightly wrong whois info without phoning or mailing their clients. Trying to read/understand all the fine print is unacceptable sad (they all do it)

I've heard about enom's reseller program - but how does that work? Wouldn't I have to host the domains myself and run scripts and such? Sounds like a lot of work. Anyone have any experience with this stuff that could explain it to me?

    Thanks
