Hey, I didnt know where to put this, it would be best in a barter forum, but there isn't one so i thought this is the closest thing.
This is NOT spam, and NOT advertising.
What i have is Windows 2003 Standard, MYSQL 2005 Pro, Exchange 2007 Sand, Sharepoint 2007 Stand and Project Server 2003. I have been using them on a local computer/server in a INTRANET configuration. My ISP doesnt allow server hosting on my package and wants to charge me $90 for a 1MBit line (NOT SHARED, 1MB UP )
I cant afford this, looking around dedicated servers are about the same price, but with a 3mbit connection in most cases.
So can anyone give me some advice, or offer me a deal where we can server share, i pay the software and you pay the hosting as such?
My server is Quad Xeon 500, 80GB and 320GB server, 2GB RAM, 2 HOT SWAP Power drives, etc. Its a fair few years old and i use it for my Uni projects.
I want to put my Uni projects online, but cant afford a dedicated server nor the extra charge for my ISP. I have all the software, fully licensed i must add, and just want to share my work.
The software is worth well over $2000 usd, and i know if i go to a dedicated server i can use my own license key for Windows 2003.
So this is more of a plea for help
Any advice would be most helpfull
- PS - Please dont advise to post else where, i am a student who wants to help others and needs help to further his projects + please tell me where to post else where if you do feel the need to tell me to get lost =)

- FLASH WORDPRESS Conversion
- RWE Physics Engine for CAD/Aeronautical and Automotive simulation
- WEB CP For IIS6/7
I also have a database i wish to publish with code snippets from C#, C++, C, VB, VB.NET, C#.NET, C++.NET, J#.net, PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, AJAX, HTML, JS, CFM, FLASH ACTION SCRIPT
I wish to use a server to get a real world understanding of server administration where there are more than 10 users, i wish to use development environments not usually found on commercial webhosting such as sharepoint, project and other flash server componants.
I will install .net, php, ms sql 2005, mysql, pgsql, iis6, exchange, project, infopath, sharepoint and other scripts.
Last thing, i wish to use the server as a sharepoint server for use with fellow students to collaberate work.
What i need
- 90usd per month for either a server, or a high connection
or
- some one who needs a windows server who is willing to let me use the server in exchange for software or advertising

How much bandwidth and space you need? There are some windows resellers plan that may satisfy your needs. Let me know your requirement and I will try to find something for you.
