I am looking for a script similar to rankpeople.com's. I was hoping that it was written in Perl preferably, but if there is no such thing, I guess I have to settle for whats on the market.

Thanks,
Christopher P.

I'm also looking for a script like this. I think someone posted one but it was php, and I'd like a perl one.

Here's a link to the script I think you're looking for:

I am making my own script. It will be in Perl. The one suggested there is in PHP.

Jokaroo,

I'd be super interested in that script when your done? Will you be distributing it?

I would be glad to find something to barter with you, for it.

Thanks,

Could one of you php experts give us a basic run through on what it would take to install that amigeekornot script. I've never done any php stuff, so i'm a little confused.

Thanks,

The script is complete. Well at least the better part of it. I actually have it up on my site now. Take a look, it's all in Perl.

Have fun with it. If your interested in it, drop me an e-mail and we can work something out. I still have to make a couple more modifications to it though.

This script looks great. Do you have any plans on making it available to others?

Jokaroo, just so you know, when I tried following your link in Netscape 4.7 I got nothing but a blank page. Loaded up fine in IE though.

Thanks jandt1198.

I have written thw scripts just for my site. It would need some work to make them fit to another site but it is not very difficult.

If there is something interesting you can offer I can help you.If not I can give you the source code but you must work on it.

Thanks anyway for your good words.

How about we avoid turning our forum into “Let’s Make A Deal,” guys? Help, freely given, is always appreciated, but Barter should be moved to the appropriate forum or taken to email.

Thanks.

The rules here are rediculously strict. The freedom has been taken away quite a bit. That's what has discontinued me from posting here.

Have a good day.

I understand the rules, it's just difficult when a thread is one place. You don't want to risk losing it.

I'll try and move it to email. Thanks,

Orfeo, I'm going to email you at the email you have in your profile, but if you don't check that, please email me at my email in my profile.

Thanks,

p.s. Ron C, thanks for the great forum. I know that being the admin can be a thankless job.

I must apologize, too.
That was not my purpose. The fact that the scripts are difficult to move shows that I wanted them for myself.
Won't happen again.

I agree that these forums should not be used for direct commercial gain. However, as a former moderator of THIS forum, I'd point out that orfeo also offered to post the source for free...
