I have inktomisearch (IP 66.196.67.110 (bob102.inktomisearch.com) hitting my site hundreds of times. Here is what it looks like (see below). Why would it do this?

But what Will make it Crawl to the same index.php for
hundreds of times?

I would like to know that aswell.

Perhaps it's seeing different content (or a new link) each time it visits the home page?

If you update your content each time the page loads it will cause the search engines to do that.

The extract you show here is a little confusing. I would assume that you are running a Windows IIS server as the log format doesn't match the Apache server's.

Anyway if the figures after the time stamp refer to the number of bytes served, I would be equally surprised like the Inktomi bot - for it changes drastically almost every second.

What does that figure refer to ?
