Web Analytics information and tools are constantly evolving and require quite a learning curve. One resource is a site called Web Analytics Demystified. Operated by Jupiter Research Analyst Eric T. Peterson, it is full of information on Web Site Measurement, Web Marketing and Design. Peterson is also known for his books Web Analytics Demystified, Web Site Measurement Hacks, and The Big Book of Key Performance Indicators. |

If you're serious about understanding and applying Web analytics to increase your online profitability you may want to seriously consider taking advantage of a limited time offer to acquire two of the best resources available. I decided 40% off on two books I've been intending to buy was a very good deal and even though I'm swamped in work, ramping up my knowledge and skills in that area simply has to be made a priority. (See the Web Analytics Book special offer.) The purpose of the Web Analytics Demystified book is not to help you determine whether you want to use Web Analytics. It is specifically to teach you "how to extract useful information" to "improve the overall quality of your Web site". The bottom line is knowing what to measure, why it is significant, what actions to take, and to use those measurements and actions to increase your profitability. As I become more familiar with the books if I can make the time I may come back to this thread and post further comments. If anyone has questions about what is or isn't in the book I'll do my best to answer them. |

I just noticed a link for free sample chapters to preview the Web Analytics Demystified book. There are also reviews and there would probably be more at Amazon. If you get the PDF version of the book be sure to keep the password as it is needed every time you open it again. |
