Hello Guys,
Many time we come across posting saying
so & so .com
6000 or(some big number) of Unique Impressions
PPC revenue $800 or $1000
and they want to sell the website.
* (while they do say that will provide the stats supporting)
Well when you have a look at the url posted or the website speified, you will find it to be
1] having some rss feeds either from google, yahoo, reuters, etc.
- OR -
2] a web directory having about some 100 categories with not too much link either
(you will mainly get to see google ads been place just before the search results having the same look and feels as that of search link).
3] having google adsense placed on almost all the page, while the main page been flooded with adsense.
4] hardly a unique content page created by themselves.
5] sometimes having a turnkey section (Affiliate kit)
6] while the name isn't too good either, normally found out to be a short jazzy name and not a dictionary word.
(actually i really don't want to name any specific webite or domain as that won't be good)
These are the some points that always come to my mind when is see this kind of postings :

- Having some pages how can any one get 6000 or more unique impressions a month.
I have seen a website having 10 page saying this stuff, i mean not 6000
page impressions but say about 1000 - 2000 & $100 - $200 unique impressions and ppc income respectively.
But it still means a lot !
- if you have any small website earning anthing more than $500 or say even $100 a month through Adsense, Yahoo
then why do you want to sell that.
- Can anyone really get that amount of traffic (as mentioned above) having a turnkey
website OR by showing Google/Yahoo News feeds OR a web directory.
- Well a good directory say having about 5000 odd category keywords or more and about 70,000 - 80,000 unique links
* but still some not completely convinced or assured.
I always found them to be suspecious - OR - do they really make that ?
Well to be clear on my side, i have been a developer for about last 5 years and quite recently say
about last one year i developed a keen interest in this field(Web Marketing, Development, online revenue, etc).
And since then i have been on with experiments, to make online revenue.
I had some pretty good domains & tried implementing turnkey sites, directories but wasn't ever been
able to get the stats/revenue what these guys boost of.
Either these lie/fraud - OR - i am missing a trick or 2.
Please comment.

The potential for being taken in is great. Why buy someone else's iste if you can just keep developing content sites yourself and growing those?

can a website having
A descent domain name
+ Web Directory
+ 2-3 Turnkey Affiliate Sections
+ RSS news feeds
can really built up a high/good traffic and a descent revenue earning website ?

The amount of traffic and income for any Web site will depend on the volume of interest in the subject, the level of competition, and the builder's knowledge of Internet marketing.
Brilliant marketers generate great traffic and income; average marketers generate average traffic and income; and mediocre marketers don't accomplish much of anything. Each person must decide whether they want to be average, brilliant, or mediocre.
Quality and results count - ineffective effort, no mattter how substantial, doesn't get you there.
